Decarbonisation

A clear, costed roadmap to lower carbon and cost across an estate: surveys, options and phased delivery.

Decarbonisation is why our energy division exists. We help clients cut the carbon and cost of the buildings they already own, with a practical roadmap rather than a wish-list.

Because the whole group sits behind it, the plan can span solar, storage, EV, roofing and fabric upgrades, and we can deliver every part.

Cut your carbon emissions and energy costs and move towards net zero with renewable energy: solar, battery storage and EV charging, built around how your site actually runs.

Measurable net-zero progress

What’s included

Estate-wide energy surveys
Net-zero roadmaps
Solar, storage and EV strategy
Roof and fabric efficiency upgrades
Phased, budget-aligned delivery
Carbon and savings reporting
Commercial benefits of decarbonisation

Commercial benefits of decarbonisation

Energy prices have spiked repeatedly in recent years, and the UK has a legally binding net-zero target for 2050. Reducing your dependency on the grid locks in lower running costs, reduces your exposure to market swings and can create a new revenue source from your own energy production.

Our decarbonisation services

Our decarbonisation services

  • Commercial solar PV: the foundation of decarbonisation, sized to your roof or ground space, load profile and return on investment.
  • Battery and energy storage: designed to match how your site runs, shifting load away from peak-rate periods and keeping you operating through outages.
  • Commercial EV charging: fleet and visitor charging integrated with your solar and storage.
  • Solar maintenance and inspections: keeping systems (ours or others') performing and meeting insurer requirements.
  • Retrofit and system upgrades: extending, integrating storage into, or rebuilding underperforming systems.

How our decarbonisation service works

We baseline your energy use from half-hourly consumption data (or CT-clamp monitoring), turn that data into a system design, install with in-house qualified solar specialists and electricians, then maintain and monitor, giving you evidence of the emissions avoided and costs saved.

Offset your costs

A new solar installation typically pays back in two to four years, then generates value for the rest of its life. We can structure project costs, including associated works like a new roof, into a single finance package offset from day one by your energy savings.

Why businesses choose us

Data-led system design; in-house qualified specialists (we don't subcontract); the wider Cornerstone Group behind every project; safety-first specification compliant with RC62 fire-safety guidance; and long-term partnerships across a 20–25 year system life.

FAQs

Decarbonisation questions answered.

Can't see your question here? Our team is happy to talk it through.

Where do we start with decarbonising our buildings?

We baseline your energy use from half-hourly consumption data or CT-clamp monitoring, then turn that into a practical, costed roadmap. It can span solar, storage, EV charging, roofing and fabric upgrades, and we can deliver every part.

Can the work be phased to fit our budget?

Yes. Our roadmaps are built for phased, budget-aligned delivery, and project costs, including associated works like a new roof, can be structured into a single finance package offset from day one by your energy savings.

Can you help us access funding such as PSDS?

Yes, we provide support with the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme and other funding routes as part of building your roadmap. Get in touch and we'll talk through what may apply to your estate.

Can you look after solar systems installed by someone else?

Yes. We maintain and inspect systems, ours or others', to keep them performing and meeting insurer requirements, and we can extend, add storage to, or rebuild underperforming systems.

How will we evidence the carbon and cost savings?

We maintain and monitor what we install and provide carbon and savings reporting, giving you evidence of the emissions avoided and costs saved.

Let's talk about your next project.
