Solar for Factories & Warehouses
Large, unshaded roofs and high daytime demand make factories and warehouses ideal for commercial solar.

Industrial buildings tend to have exactly what solar loves: big, simple roofs and steady daytime electricity use. That combination often delivers strong savings and a fast payback.
We can pair the array with a roof replacement and battery storage for a single, coordinated upgrade.
Installing solar on a factory or warehouse gives a direct, measurable reduction in electricity costs, generating your own power for a fraction of grid cost and building energy resilience. We design and install systems engineered around your infrastructure and energy profile.

What’s included

Why factories and warehouses install solar
Large, consistent loads make these sites ideal. Solar generates electricity at around 5p/kWh versus 25–30p/kWh from the grid; a 200 kWp roof can offset 45,000–55,000 kg of CO₂ a year; and installations can improve your EPC rating and building value.

The financial case
Most factory and warehouse installations achieve payback within 2–4 years on a CAPEX purchase, then generate value for decades. Solar typically covers 20–50% of annual electricity needs without storage: a 500 kWp rooftop could generate around 450,000–500,000 kWh a year, saving £90,000–£100,000 at a 20p/kWh grid saving.

How we install
Site assessment and feasibility; power planning and future-proofing for scalability and EV charging; smart infrastructure design to UK electrical standards; in-house installation coordinated around production; and commissioning and certification to BS 7671, with performance monitoring from day one. Panels carry 25–30 year warranties and can operate for 40+ years.

Factory and warehouse solar questions answered.
Can't see your question here? Our team is happy to talk it through.
Why are factories and warehouses so well suited to solar?
Industrial buildings tend to have big, simple, unshaded roofs and steady daytime electricity use. That combination often delivers strong savings and a payback within two to four years on a CAPEX purchase.
How much of our electricity could solar cover?
Solar typically covers 20 to 50% of annual electricity needs without storage. As an example, a 500 kWp rooftop could generate around 450,000 to 500,000 kWh a year.
Will installation disrupt production?
Our in-house teams coordinate installation around your production to keep disruption to a minimum.
Our roof is getting old. Can we still go solar?
Yes. We can replace the roof and install the array in one coordinated upgrade, with battery storage added if it suits your site.
Will solar improve our building's EPC rating?
Solar installations can improve your EPC rating and building value. Panels carry 25 to 30 year warranties and can operate for 40 years or more.
