A family-run dairy farm facing high energy costs from the constant demand of milking machines, cooling and other operations, the Tomlinsons wanted a sustainable, cost-effective way to cut their bills.
The solution
After a full site assessment we designed a 75 kW roof and ground-mounted array using high-efficiency panels: grid-tied with net metering, with a durable mounting system built to withstand farm conditions and minimal shading for optimal output.
The benefits
A 3.3-year payback, then decades of effectively free electricity; around 18 tonnes of CO₂ saved a year (equivalent to planting some 900 trees); greater energy independence; and low maintenance across a 25+ year lifespan.
