Commercial solar in Liverpool
Commercial solar PV, battery storage and EV charging for Liverpool and Merseyside businesses, designed, installed and maintained by our own team.

Cornerstone Group designs and installs commercial solar PV for warehouses, factories, offices, schools and retail sites across the Liverpool City Region: Liverpool, Sefton, Knowsley, St Helens, Wirral and Halton. We are based around 35 miles away in Preston and use our own installers and electricians.
Merseyside’s logistics, port and manufacturing buildings have large roofs and steady daytime electricity use, which is where solar performs best. A well-matched system typically pays for itself in two to four years and then generates low-cost power for decades.
Because roofing is part of the same group, we can replace a tired roof and install the array in one programme. When we fit the roof and install the solar, both are covered by a single combined 30-year warranty.

What’s included

Sized to how you use power
We start with your half-hourly electricity data and roof survey, then size the array so you use as much of the generation on site as possible. Adding battery storage lets you keep surplus power for the evening peak.

The grid connection, handled
Larger systems need approval from the local network operator before they can be switched on. On Merseyside that is SP Energy Networks. We prepare and submit the application and build the lead time into your programme.

Roof first, then solar
Panels last 25 years or more, so the roof beneath must last too. At Booker Newton Abbott we replaced the roof and installed the solar together under one warranty. Read should you re-roof before installing solar?

Liverpool solar questions answered.
Can't see your question here? Our team is happy to talk it through.
Do you install commercial solar across Merseyside?
Yes, across the Liverpool City Region: Liverpool, Sefton, Knowsley, St Helens, Wirral and Halton, plus West Lancashire and Cheshire. We are based in Preston and use our own installers.
How long does commercial solar take to pay back?
Most commercial systems we model pay back in two to four years on a capital purchase, depending on your daytime demand, roof and tariff. We model your site before you commit.
Who deals with the grid connection?
We do. Merseyside is covered by SP Energy Networks, and larger systems need its approval before switch-on. We prepare and submit the application for you.
What if our roof is old?
We survey it first. If it needs replacing, our roofing team can do that and the solar in one programme, with both covered by a single combined 30-year warranty.
Can you add battery storage and EV charging?
Yes. Batteries store surplus solar for peak times, and workplace or fleet EV chargers can run on your own generation. We design them as one system.
