Factory Felt Overlay
Overlaying failing felt roofs over a factory production area, and saving the old wired-glass rooflights with a reinforced coating.

The problem
A series of aged felt roofs had started to fail, letting water into a factory’s production area.
The solution
Working to the client’s budget, we thermal scanned every roof, removed all trapped moisture and overlaid the roofs with a new single-layer elastomeric felt. Rather than replace the Georgian wired rooflights, we treated them with a reinforced coating system to extend their life.
The result
A watertight production area for far less than a full strip and re-roof.
On the roof.
